Bidding Methods
Registration
All buyers regardless of method of bidding are required to register and provide us with full contact details including phone number and e-mail address.
There are four ways to bid at Summersgills:-
In Person in the room
Whether you are auction veterans or it's your first time, come along on auction day and raise your paddle. Our friendly team will guide through the process on the day. After you have registered and collected your number you are free to bid away. However please remember once that hammer comes down and you are the final bidder, you have just made a legally binding contract with us and the item is yours.
Commission Bids
If you are unable to make it on the day you can place a commission bid on the Lots you are interested in. This can be done in person prior to auction day by popping into our office and completing a simple form or over the phone by calling 01347 821379. You will be asked to leave the maximum price you wish to pay for a lot and the auctioneer will do the bidding for you ensuring the lowest price possible price. Commission bids MUST be in by 4pm on the day before the sale.
Telephone Bids
Another convenient way to bid if you are unable to attend. All you have to do is leave your details and which Lots you would like to bid on with our office either in person prior to auction day or by calling 01347 821379.
