A large walnut tantalus with white metal fixings and cover, enclosing three square cut-glass decanters with gilt decoration, with three silver-plated bottle tickets for 'SHERRY', 'WHISKY' and 'PORTO'. Tantalus 36cm high (incl. handle), 43.5cm wide, 18cm deep
Very heavy and solid. The three decanters marked STEPHENS to bases - no chips or cracks, minor wear to etched band of gilding (where tickets have rubbed against). No locking mechanism, just a slide catch fixing - in working order. Slight tarnish/wear to silver plating in some small areas. Minor losses to wood veneer, each end (see additional images). Generally good condition.
